Weeknotes Week 13 2024: March 24-30
- This was an interesting week, the highlight of which was I got my jaw drilled and a titanium implant put in mid-week.
- This is the culmination of over a year of planning to replace one of my molars. This is, I guess, step 1, which is the implant installation. Now to heal for many more months, then I'll get a post and fake tooth done after that.
- While the procedure itself was painless, it was very weird having a dentist wrench on my jaw like it was a car, torquing a screw into my bone.
- Afterward, once I went home, I was extremely tired when the novocaine wore off.
- When I woke from my afternoon nap, I just felt a mild gum-ache. There was no need for painkillers, but the dentist recommended I continue taking ibuprofen to reduce swelling.
- On antibiotics for the subsequent 10 days, which is wreaking havoc on my GI system.
- Went to Tin Roof BBQ in Lodi for BBQ to celebrate an in-law's birthday. Good stuff, but weird in how thing the brisket and tri-tip were sliced, and how well-done both were. I'd expect different from a reputable BBQ joint.
- Not much else happened this past week, but good training in martial arts, and good reliable sleep cycles.
